The Flower Parable

A Simple Flower can teach us a lot about who we are and what is it that God wants from our Life. Read on, to know the Good News of Life like never before

Consider a Tree with flowers on it. If we remove a flower and put it in the ground, would the flower grow to become a tree? Obviously not. The flower just lies on the ground, not having any life in it. It withers and dries. The Wind comes and tosses it around. Someone walking on the road side, steps on it - and that's the end of it all. That's what our life has become. A flower that is tossed around, separated from the Tree – God. We live as reactors to situations – not in charge and in dominion. We live separated and far away from the Life of God in us. This is the situation we are really in. Whether we believe it or not. The Wind comes and tosses it around. Someone walking on the road side, steps on it - and that's the end of it all. That's what our life has become. A flower that is tossed around, separated from the Tree – God. We live as reactors to situations – not in charge and in dominion. We live separated and far away from the Life of God in us. This is the situation we are really in. Whether we believe it or not. But God in His immense Love, knowing that a withered flower can do nothing of itself, found a way to re-join, re attach this flower back to Himself – the Tree. This is exactly what Jesus has done. He came and showed how man in fellowship with God can live in Victory and New Life. He then took the blame of our sin and shame upon Himself.

If we repent, believe and are baptized, we are joined with an even more solid union than before. Our spirit is joined to the Spirit of God. He comes and dwells in us. We become not just a flower, but a branch of the tree. We now no longer live as reactors to situations but in dominion and victory over all things, every where. In perfect relationship with God.
