Sons, Not Diamonds

I recently heard a Pastor say : "a diamond is created under intense pressure and heat".

He went on to say that when there's pressure, we tend to go towards greener pastures and try and escape the pressure, instead of staying there and letting "God" make you the Diamond He wants you to be.

He said "There's a diamond in the making in your family, in your marriage."

And as usual, as every Pastor with a Defeated Gospel said "That God knows how much pressure and heat to apply to make you into a beautiful Diamond. So Don't Resist the Pressure or the Heat!"

There is nothing further away from the truth than this.

This is a complete misunderstanding of what it means to be born again.

To get into the New Birth is not to make a better version or a newer version of your self.

The Self Help and Self Improvement books and manuals of the World have created a sufficient disaster attempting that. New Birth is about you belonging to a Failed Species and being brought miraculously into a New Species - the Sons Race in Christ. Its about the Lord making you into a New Creation. Not helping you evolve into someone New. That being said, your Mind still tends to think Old - the Law, Condemnation, etc. This Needs Mind Renewal - through the Word.

Pressure has no place in God's Plan to make you into something beautiful and new. The Kind of Pressure and Heat that these preachers speak about are usually : Health Issues, Financial Problems, Stress or the like - All of which Jesus has Paid the Price for.

All the so called Pressure happened when you went down the Baptism Waters, when you put your Faith in Christ. God is not busy putting pressure on you to make you into a diamond. He has made you into a Son in Christ and the Cross.

The Word says : "You are Complete in Him" that you are filled with the "Fullness of God". That You are "As He is in this World". The Word says "Greater is He that is in You". God "calls those things that don't exist as though they do". He doesn't need to apply pressure and heat to make His Diamonds... All it needed was "Diamond Be" and it's done. All it needed was "It is Finished". When Jesus was in the Storm, He never said "This is sent by my Father to make me into a diamond". He said "Be Still".

JESUS is our Role model.

We look towards Him. We Initiate Him. We are in Him. We are found in Him. Our Life is Hidden in Him. Stop making excuses for the Pressures. Stop Tolerating the Pressures. You are As He Is. Victory and Freedom is Yours.
